Abstract |
DGA(Dissolved Gas Analysis) is a reliable method for detection of fault in oil-filled transformer. Among all the available techniques; IEC 60599 and DTM(Duval Triangle Method) is widely used. Most DGAs; including IEC 60599 and DTM; diagnose failure in the transformer through gas composition ratio. If the gas composition ratio is not calculated properly; the failure in the transformer can not be accurately diagnosed. Also; conventional techniques are difficult to consider the operating characteristics of the transformer. This paper proposes failure diagnosis technique of a transformer using expert system. The expert system was created from fuzzy logic based on IEC 60599 and DTM. The effectiveness of the expert system was verified by using MATLAB. |
