Abstract |
As increasing integration of renewable energy in power systems, the some techniques in power system analysis would force a paradigm shift. Recently, hybrid time domain simulation techniques in order to assess the power electronic devices interconnected with power systems were one of the most important technology in power systems. This paper describes the methodology for implementing the assessment platform for hybrid simulation of power systems between PSS/E and PSCAD/EMTDC. First, the overall structure of hybrid simulation platform between transient stability program (PSS/E) and electromagnetic transient program (PSCAD/EMTDC) was designed based on Python platform. Then the equivalent algorithm between two programs was proposed based on thevenin-injection technique. Finally, the hybrid simulation platform was developed based on Python. To verify the performance of the developed platform, we performed a comprehensive test for test system with some scenarios. The results of these tests showed that the developed platform can accurately analyze and assess the complex power systems including renewable and FACTS |
