Abstract |
Wireless charging systems for electric vehicles (EVs) have been the subject of vigorous research for several decades. Contactless and hands-free charging, as wireless charging technologies, have garnered significant attention as promising solutions for future charging needs. Consequently, numerous vehicle manufacturers are actively driving research and development efforts to advance wireless charging technologies for electric vehicles. Furthermore, some pioneering wireless charging companies have recently unveiled real-world case studies, showcasing successful integration of their developed technologies into practical electric vehicles. Therefore, this paper aims to delve into the challenges and potential solutions for the commercialization of wireless charging technology such as static, quasi-dynamic, and dynamic WPT with drawing on recent empirical evidence. |
