| Abstract |
This study proposes an ESS-based Energy Control Protocol (E-ECP) to efficiently manage regenerative energy generated by regenerative elevators in apartment complexes. Based on real-time IoT sensor data, E-ECP comprehensively evaluates ESS remaining capacity, predicted regenerative power, and emergency reserve power, then dynamically determines four operating states?normal, overload, conserve, and emergency?and supplies power according to load priority. Computer simulations were conducted for a 200-household apartment complex in Korea under normal (S1), peak load (S2), and emergency (S3) scenarios, and the results were compared with Baseline, SOC-band, and Greedy strategies. The results showed that E-ECP reduced peak demand by 14.85?18.66 % as ESS capacity increased under peak-load conditions, and achieved emergency load protection rates of 10.76?21.53 % under emergency conditions, demonstrating superior protection performance for essential facilities compared with other methods. |
