Abstract |
Global warming is pushing strongly penetration of renewable generation facilities over the world. Photovoltaic(PV) systems are specially spread fast according to their cheap installation cost. In this paper, we dealt with the economic analysis of the rooftop photovoltaic systems of the 3 public buildings in the Jeju Science Park. The following study results were obtained. The annual capacity factors of the 3 PV plants except the E building's PV system with 0 degree of PV array angle were more than about 14%. The payback periods of the 3 PV plants were 15, 18 and 21 year. The rule classifying the load peak time period for Jeju Island was changed in Sep. 2021. The change decreased the profit of the consumers self-using electric energy generated by PV system. The capacity factor (usage rate) of the PV systems of the 3 buildings were high during their electric power peak times. The greenhouse gas emission amount reduced by the 4 PV plants over a year was about 161.9 tonCO2eq. |
