Abstract |
This paper proposes a feedback control system based on changes in cathode polarization to study the durability of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) with various operating parameters. Performance and durability can be tested using common experimental methods. However, to evaluate the performance and durability of the oxygen reaction at the most reactive cathode/electrolyte reaction site, other experimental and evaluation methods as well as experiments tailored to the purpose are required. Moreover, development of a device is necessary. Therefore, a feedback control system capable of constant cathode polarization conditions was built, and on the basis of the results, a dynamic analysis of the chromium deposition reaction one of the deterioration reactions was possible. The proposed system is expected to improve SOFC durability evaluation. |
